- Create a positive atmosphere for children/youth to learn new skills and gain self- confidence
- Prepare and support youth for their school year curriculum
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers
- Offer parents/caregivers opportunities to participate in programming
- Provide information about other resources to participants, caregivers and parents
