National Foundation For Teaching Entrepreneurship - NFTE (Business Curriculum)
Through entrepreneurship education, NFTE teaches young people (ages 11 through 18) from low income communities to become economically productive members of society by improving their academic, business, technology, and life skills. NFTE is a recognized world leader in promoting entrepreneurial literacy among youth. NFTE impacts basic academic and life skills through a hands-on and engaging entrepreneurship curriculum that reinforces math, reading, and writing and other literacy skills, and develops proficiencies in critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, communication, and decision-making.
My New Red Shoes (Teen Leadership / Social Advocacy)
Kids Helping Kids is a part of My New Red Shoes’ vision to plant seeds of compassion, charity and community involvement in the children of the San Francisco Bay Area. The purpose of the Kids-Helping-Kids program is to:
- Fulfill the need for meaningful service projects for students and their families
- Educate students about homelessness, poverty and their effects on children, and to
- Build bridges of understanding between children of all socio-economic backgrounds
